Grading Midterm - Day 11 - #100HappyDays

Happiness is trying something new. I graded midterm papers of an undergraduate Database class. It was fun. It was Tarun's work. I helped him out. I had to correct questions 4,5,6. They were ER diagram, SQL query and definition of theta join, equi-join  and natural join. It was total of 108 papers. Journey through first one-third was jittery. Got lost in their ER diagrams. After that got the hang of correcting the answers. Then exchanged papers with Shouvik, TA with databases. Also did totaling of remaining two-thirds. Over-all it was fun being on the other side of grading. A happy red pen holder correcting papers.

In April 2021, I took my first driving class. Since then it was roller coaster ride in personal life. Finally in August 2022, I restarted my driving practice in Maruti 800 with my sister. This was my first time on a vehicle. I lacked road sense, had loads of unknown fear, feared every tiny thing on road. Even a slightest noise or sound while driving would startle me and if sound was from back, I would turn back. Then began my sister’s wedding preparations in March 2023. Now there was no choice. Why should you Shat karma?

Satkarma helps remove impurities that not released fully. Eg: After digestion certain aama is left in the intestines which can become toxins. Satkarma help in removing these toxins from body. It also helps purify the body more thoroughly which further balances the doshas Vata, pitta and kapha and helps prana to flow freely. Journey from a log of wood to a life of wood

Life is beautiful. Why do we say something is beautiful? What is that thing that is actually making something beautiful? It is the life/prana in something that makes it beautiful. For example: you look at a dead dog or a dried vegetable or a dried leaf you wouldn't say it is beautiful. If you find yourself saying it is beautiful then probably there is some prana/life-force left in it. Eg: Stone has 1 unit of life, so we say stone is beautiful too. This is my journey from a log of wood to a life of wood. Back in 2017, a friend said let's walk through this street, it looks beautiful. I replied what's in this street! These are just trees and shrubs. All I can see are leaves and wood together forming trees. What is so beautiful about it? I have seen several such trees before. They are all the same.
